Happy Birthday, Billie

Lunch with wonderful friends, not how the day began but gifted in the middle warming my heart.  So nice to see you both.   

Then a ride to the canal on a beautiful day.  There were a lot of people walking their dogs today, lots of multi generational groups.  And there were multi-generational groups of gulls, too.

There were a few mergansers and 6 swans..  There was hundreds of Canada Geese.  Amie said to me yesterday she heard them returning the other night.  I think the patterns of the shorter migrating birds has changed over the past couple of years.

These swans are the same family I photographed a few days ago.  They were in the same place. I could see individual feathers being blown in the wind.  

I have been focused all week on my play and if you were to look at the pile you wouldn't believe how much time I've put into it, but the process is a lot like making bread or homemade chicken soup, lots of stopping at letting things develop.
