Day 81
March 22, 2022
Arthur would have been 93 today.
I drove 290 miles in a FIT today, Thank you, Diana and Georgie for letting me borrow your car. Georgie had a Melissa and Doug puzzle in the backseat of trucks and truck noises. It was hidden and out of nowhere a truck noise would happen, occasionally a police siren would go off. It was a very interesting ride before we figured out where the noises were coming from.
I picked Margie up at the airport. Then we headed for Ember and Karen. On the way we stopped in Putney for food and bumped into Kora who I hadn't seen in months and months. She's so wonderful, made both me and Marg smiley.
Then up to N. Springfield where I got a 3 minute snuggle with Eliza Jean who let me take her from her Mom and kiss her. She just started laughing. Adorable+
Exhausted and blown I went up to the rookery around 6. It was a zoo today. I saw everthing. It was completely alive. It was a little windy and a little cloudy, but still 51. There were 3 pairs of mergansers, a lot of geese in the back, hawks, and up in the highest nest just before I went to leave, a male heron.
There was an otter and a muskrat came over and said hello. I saw bluebirds and robins and rwbb.
I saw 2 groups of deer. Turkey, lots of turkey, an adolescent eagle on the trip to Vermont along with at least 8 hawks.
Spring has sprung. We are there. We made it. And we have made it through 2 years of COVID. Yup, we're gonna be alright.
