Day 124
May 4, 2022
Thomas Overman was born May 4, 1914
Comfort
The
rain slows down, dripping like gravel
upon
the metal roof of my safety perch.
Swallows
swarm the pond’s brown edges
red
winged black birds fly back and forth.
Two
phoebes stand up tall on cattail,
single
honk of Canada Goose echoes loud.
What
brings me comfort in this water
landscape?
What soothes me amidst this soft palette?
Consistent,
predictable movement
arising
in moss green and brown fauna again.
I sat in the rain for an hour today. I found it quite comforting, which is what I needed most. Then sushi with T.
