He was telling me something

Happy Memorial Day.  I actually missed the parade.  But I hung out at the Coop with a friend for a couple hours and it was so pleasant.  The whole day was pleasant.  It got to be 91 but it just wasn't all that humid.

And the birds were a happy lot today everywhere I went.  I was feeling lucky all over the place.  The herons were very noisy and the adults were fishing.   

But it was the canal that brought me surprises.  This was the first cormorant I've seen so far this year. He was very comfortable in the middle of the swan.  

And there were two juvenile bald eagles sitting up in a tree and practicing their fishing techniques.   I was in a hurry by the time I saw them, but I stopped and watched them anyway.  They were really impressive. 

Spent an hour in Edite's garden.  Very nice, very comfortable day.  I have to go to Wilton next week and say happy birthday.
