Day 154
June 3, 2022
Back to the Y

I must admit I am a sucker for love, especially old time, long term love.  Yesterday I spent with the Tolenos, definitely family.  It really did fill my heart completely so it was bursting in song.

Then today I got an e mail from Thane who I have not seen since before COVID, I think the summer of 2019. He asked me to meet him at the Coop and we got a couple hours together to catch up and share life.   Unbelievable, his daughter is 7, it is so weird, time really did get a way from me.

Thane and I worked together for several years in literacy.  We did a journal of adult ed students' writings for a few years.   He's been rehired at The Literacy Project more times than I was at Greenfield Community College.  When we me he had just graduated from Hampshire and came to work in my office with me at GCC  doing the student literacy corps grant, a large federal Dept. of Ed grant.  What year was that?  It must have been 1989.  33 years ago.  LOL  I'm telling ya, time has morphed.

I went up to the rookery at about 515 and it was about 80, it all felt perfect, a little breeze, sun shining but beginning to head down and birds all about.

Yup, it was a good day, a good balance between work and play, good food, exercise, friendship and blue skies.
