Pictures only in the rookery today

This post is all rookery.  I went up around 4 and it was 60 and raining and the adult birds of older chicks were hanging out on trees and flying off together.  Then they'd come back and everyone would make a fuss.  The babies are staring at all the commotion. 

There were young wood ducks and the goslings were out on their own.  I couldn't count the ducks, their color was too close to the water color.  I think these maybe my favorite rookery colors.  I love the mist even more than the stark blue.

There are 3 empty nests.  Nest 11 definitely fledged.  I'm going to have to go back and look at nests 5 and 8 to see when they last had hatchlings.  

I'm impressed by nature.
