Beginning of the Green River Festival

A terrible day in the history of our country and for women.  We just went back more than 50 years.  Its a disgrace.

But what is worse is the gun law situation.  Why do we need to carry  guns in public places?  Yes, hunt if you want to eat fresh meat.  But do not carry weapons, you are just asking for trouble.  It's just a macho toy.

Nest 9 and 10 are in the middle of fledging.  I captured one leaving nest 9.  They were testing their wings and trying out their new freedom.  

The Common was full tonight.  It was Art Walk night and we held off on the music to let the protestors chant and sing, etc.  

Then there was music in front of both Lava and Hawks and Reed.  There were also a lot of people coming into town for free parking and a shuttle ride to the festival.  

Part of me truly misses the festival, it has always been a highlight of my summer.  Even in 2020 when they did it on the radio, I listened the whole time, at the rookery.

But I don't want to be in a crowd.  So listening to Dan on the street was fine with me.  Really enjoyable.
