Day 180
June 29, 2022
Happy Birthday, Colette Cosner and Eric Deibler.

I forgot my memory card when I went to the rookery, plus I didn't have enough gas to make a trip.  So I decided to just write my observations, because the heron behaviour is so different this year.

It was 81 and a little sticky, but peaceful at the rookery.  After 2 days of no bird sightings in nest 10, today there were 2 juvenile in the nest and an adult joined them.  There seemed to be a baby in nest 5, but I saw no other herons.

the C. geese family were very active and again there were plenty of frogs, but not a whole of anything else happening.  In comparison to the end of June a year and two years ago, it was too quiet.  I'm going to write Cornell or someplace to see what they think happened to all of the herons.
