Day 182
July 1, 2022
Canada Day

Fireworks are booming in the background.  I wish I was there to watch them, but my leg is  not in its socket.
It was 94 at the rookery today and believe it or not it was not really muggy.  Frogs were so well camouflaged, and muskrat was out in the open with her baby.
There was one heron visible in a tree a way from the nests.  I could see no others.  I stayed there for an hour waiting for some movement and there was none.  I really want to know what's going on.

Plenty of other birds.  Would have made a great mosaic today with all of the subtler colors.

Lava Center celebrated Canada Day today with Canadian comedy and some Canadian food and a few Canadians.  Matthew prides himself on keeping a straight face, V. took it as a challenge, I documented.
