Happy Birthday, Amie!!!!

Another beautiful day, just as close to perfect as you can get.  Didn't do a lot, went out for lunch, drove to the rookery and later watched the sunset in the cemetery.  Other than that I read, napped and thought about what I should be doing.

There were no herons in the rookery at all today.  I think the theory about the eagle finding an adequate food source is correct.  I looked back at my March photos.  The 3 nests that I watched fledge were clearly the first to lay eggs.  Then it appears to be nest 4.  I'm going to go back and pick out photos of 4 throughout the season.  I find it brutal and sad although I am very aware it is life. 

I keep finding myself in a place where I believe I need to redefine my life.  So silly.

Anyway, I didn't celebrate the 4th, but I have so many good friends whose birthday it is today, I chose to honor them instead.
