Day 197
July 16, 2022
I had many interesting things happen today stimulating a lot of thought.
I worked today. We had a wonderful show that no one came to. The poet and the musicians were gracious and performed for us. It made me think about audience and about how dynamic shows can happen without an audience, and that Lava's space allows artists to try new things in a safe environment. This show was really interesting and it gave them a chance to practice. I really wish people had come, but I hope it helped them grow in their show which is really good.
The rookery was steamy muggy tonight. I didn't think there were any herons around and then this guy flew over me inspiring a new poem that I will post another night.
I had given up on ever seeing the black horses ever again and there they were. I was looking for bear and got them and many turkeys.
I saw three separate families of different sized turkeys.
And this evening I got a phone call from my brother, Mike, who I haven't talked to in a long time. His voice was very strong tonight and he had good things to say. It was sweet to connect while he was up. I do love him so.
