Day 204
July 23, 2022
Rookery before 9 a.m.
This heat motivates one to get out of bed before the sun gets too high. I got up and ate my breakfast on the porch, walked around the yard and went up to the rookery.
It was ideal up there There were a few baby turtles and giant frogs. There were beautiful dragonflies and 3 heron.
Kemah did today's WOW presentation. Again it was an example of why have this center. Members of the audience were interested in doing programs too, interested in submitting art and doing writing work. I think our fall programming will be exciting.
EJ and I took an evening sunset drive as it cooled down some. They got the beaver. Quite a gentle evening; we saw a Falcon, too. But its past 9 and still over 80. Tomorrow is supposed to be the worst of the heat and then it breaks on Monday. Can't wait.
