Day 223
August 11, 2022
More than 4 colors of algae
Very beautiful day, both physically and emotionally. It started out cool on the porch with sunflowers. I started playing with Patrick's Sony. I shot with it all day. It really is more stealth. I think if I got a new lens that was more flexivle with working automatic focus, the Pentax would be as fluid, but it was fun to play with this older Sony.
Lunch with David was sweet. Food was good. There were spider webs flowing in the air in front of him and the sun kept sparkling on them. I did not manage to catch the web movement.
Went up to the rookery around 3:30. It was 86, not quite as humid as the past few days, but full of algae. I saw a few monarchs and a lot of dragonflies, but no birds.
Lava had our play write from New Zealand tonight. This group gathered to read and a smaller group gathered to be an audience. It's really is an interesting event to participate in and I think it is very useful for the writer. This is a first of several plays that will go through this process.
But I left early because all of a sudden I had a big headache. I hadn't had enough protein. I came home, ate protein and have been wrestling with the computer.
Anyone want to guess what kind of bird dropped this feather on my front walk. It's about 4 or more inches long.
