Day 240
August 28, 2022
Rodin Exhibit at the Clark

Another wonderful Sunday beginning with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and flowers for breakfast on the porch.

The Clark Museum was wonderful.  It felt like a very peaceful public space.  I couldn't stand as long as Patrick could so I bought a sketch pad and went out by the pond and wrote some.  The whole Rodin exhibit stimulated my wordy brain.
These kids were reminiscent of a different time.

This scene is so reminiscent of Wyeth and the Hudson Valley painters.  I guess it helps to be in that space between the Housatonic and the Hudson; sitting on the Mass/NY border.

The day started off foggy and cool and by the time we got back to home it was sunny and breezy.

This was my favorite piece in the Rodin.

I'm very fond of the bronze.  The whole process that the artists used to make this and the craftsmen who get no credit but he must have been so dependent on, was fascinating.

We got right under the windmills, I'm not sure the owner of the house was pleased with us, but he didn't chase us away.
They were so eerie in the fog and Caldwellish in the sunny skies.
We ended the day with grilled chicken.  Felt like a real day off.
