RAIN, lots of it. 

A trip to the dump in the heavy rain and findings one makes when one looks for stone, wood or calcium.  Really beautiful wood there today, fodder for creativity.  Kind of exciting.

Also voted.

At the rookery in the rain at noon time today was very beautiful and very full, but once again only the wood ducks were enjoying the down pour.  It was only about 65. 

What a beautiful space, the dryness this summer has allowed for more reeds in the middle of the water.  We drove up on top, too which gives one an entirely different point of view.

There is also a variety of wildflowers throughout the wetland that I don't believe were there last year, I think all of this was under water.
