Day 289
October 16, 2022
Eliza meets Opie

I haven't hosted a family get together of any size in a long time, but today we pulled it off.  I say we, because I cannot do that much on my own so everyone else did nine tenths of the work.  But we all sat in the yard and ate and talked and in the end sang a little bit.

The baby was the center of attention for my camera, but not necessarily any more of an attention getter than the dogs or Grace.

Opie is so well behaved.  He was quite sweet to Eliza and got a lot of pets from the adults.

There were three generations of Tiltons at this party and three generations of Whitons, and five biological cousins and 2 spouse.

And one complete stranger who we met yesterday and invited to join us.  Josh is a poet and a musician and a teacher, guess he found his potential community.

EJ's family's dog was hit by a car last night and died instantly.  It makes me so sad.  It makes the family very very sad.  RIP Jack, you were a good boy, much loved and we will all miss you.  HUGS

My family is big and unruly, but really nice and full of talent and interests.  I was glad we were together today,  And because the get together was for Grace I got to be with both sides of her family.  I love it when we get together.
