Day 294
October 21, 2022
My ride today was a perfect children's book
Rookery at 3:40 this afternoon was 58 degrees, quiet and cloudless. The otters had returned and were playing. They seemed bigger to me this fall, I think they are fully adult. They are also impossible to photograph, but so much fun to watch.
The kingfisher was playing, too. He was swooping into the water over and over again and then landing on the bottom portion of the birch trees. I was so involved with watching I forgot to lift the camera.
Sorry the pictures aren't a little bigger, but I did take them with the 500 which I cannot just hand hold.
And then I went on my way up and over the hill and saw turkey, horses, giant porcupine, beaver, many small birds, some beautiful birds, and deer. Time to turn it into a picture book, but I think it should be drawn.
By the time I got to the view of Greenfield the sun was down a little and causing the insects to rise from the seeds of the asters. They looked like snow.
