Day 321
November 17, 2022
A day of photos

Today was both a successful photo and a successful writing day.  I will post some photos tonight and over the weekend will polish some of the writing, which I am very pleased with.  But I'm too tired to do it tonight.

I took my general ride today because I was having a hard time not letting grief take me over and falling into addictive behaviors.  I figure doing the drive and getting taken over by photos and birds was the better escape.

By the time I got around to the fairgrounds and the cemetery snow was falling in places.

Driving through the graveyard made me miss EJ seriously, made me feel that fierceness of the love for a child.  They'll be 22 in 5 days, not really a child any longer, but I still love them with that same energy.
I wrote about the first official day of The Literacy Project, Inc, 38 years ago tonight.  It was a dark and stormy night. What a huge landmark in my life.

November has always been an important month in my life.  One of my first memories is waiting outside my nursery school on a rainy dark November night for a friend of the families to pick me up because Mom and Dad were bringing baby Margie home from the hospital.  I'm sure there were November days before then, but that was an important one.  This one will be, too.
