Day 338
December 4, 2022
Cold in Northampton

Went to Northampton for brunch with the Tolenos.  Nice to see them all, and one can feel the holiday fever begin to show itself in the city.  It was the Hot Chocolate Run and teams were dressed in holiday outfits.  All the storefronts are decorated and the holidays are in full swing.  I'm going North.

Went to the rookery before it got too cloudy.  No birds but neighbors told me that the eagle was there earlier dive bombing the ducks, but didn't get any.  It was 43 and clouding over, but by the time I left friends' house tonight the sky was clear, you can see Jupiter.

I loved eating soup and salad and foccachia with friends, I loved eating a home cook meal.  Margo made a gingerbread cake, too, and I had a half piece.

Grief is complex, I know I've said it before, but I believe that tonight was taking care of myself; good people, good food, animals.  They have a giant Wolfhound mix who I love.  It felt so nice to have dog attention.

And the cat loved V. and knows he is handsome.  He was dignified.
