My heart is full today

The sunset is beautiful tonight.  It's shades of purple with a heavy red line underneath the color and above a large black cloud.  It is colors so hard to capture with a camera.  Especially when the day has been loaded with feelings, loaded with love, loaded with abstractions.

I got up first this morning and spent a couple hours working on organizing the heron book.  EJ slept on the couch last night and Rocky spent a lot of the night trying to get their attention.  But he also came to me for pets, which was sweet.

Even though for most of the day it was just EJ, Di and me we had a lot of interaction with the outside world.  There were a lot of people texting in and then Eli showed up around 1.  It was great just hanging out hearing stories, plus EJ singing and the 2 of them playing a little off each other.  

Eli stayed a little longer and we got a one on one which hasn't happened in probably over 5 years.  I'm so fond of him.  Hope to see more of him over the winter.  Hope that means I see more of other friends, as well.

I feel as though my heart is completely full tonight.  I feel wrapped up in the perception that I am so surrounded by kind, talented, bright, engaged people.  I feel held by that.  I love it.  

I think tomorrow is my last day here and I go back on Thursday.  Its been nice to have a place to entertain.  

The year is ending.  It's been so large, so swelled up, so full of emotion.  Before i end this blog I will have to write a year in reflection piece.  I'll start working on it.  Meanwhile, have a lovely evening.
